There are a couple of ways of answering this question, and the correct answer depends on the type of financial aid that you are receiving. If you applied for financial aid as a full-time student, your first concern would be that dropping the anatomy class might drop you below the (12?) credit hours that you need to be considered a full-time student. Some forms of financial aid offer awards based on your classification – so dropping below full-time may make you ineligible for some of the aid that you have already received. Even more troubling – and something you need to investigate – if you used a Pell Grant to pay for your tuition, you will almost certainly be required to refund some of those Pell Grant funds to your school.
