No you won’t have to pay them back. The beauty of a grant is it’s free money. There aren’t any conditions to it at all. So if you failed the hell out of those classes you wouldn’t have to pay the grant back.

No pell grants are yours if you do fail a class they may suspend your aid but you can protest it and get it back! It happened to me…i changed my major one to many times…got uninterested with classes and quit going OOPS!
