Will I get points for stays at the hotels I stay at on business travel booked by Travelocity Business. The hotel has advised me that they do not give points for stays booked by third parties?

Travelocity Business is a full service corporate travel management company NOT a third party such as Travelocity.com or Hotels.com. All reservations booked via Travelocity Business are booked via the GDS (Global Distribution System) used by all agencies and therefore you are purchasing directly from the hotels inventory (thus the requirement to give them your credit card when you check in). In many instances when travel is booked through some of the Internet sites (third party) you are purchasing the room directly from them (these sites bulk purchase rooms from the hotels and resell them). In those instances your transaction/purchase is directly with the site and NOT the hotel so award points may not be given.
