Will I be able to add stored value to my CharlieCard at an on-board farebox?
Yes. However, storing value on your CharlieCard onboard can increase boarding lines and cause transit delays. We encourage customers to add stored value at our full-service, in-station fare vending machines. We’re also establishing many new retail sales locations throughout the Metro-Boston region for your added convenience.
