Will hot water extraction cleaning remove my carpet protectant?
No. The cleaning process itself does not remove the carpet protectant but foot traffic will wear the protectant off after a period of time. It is usually recommended that you reapply a carpet protectant every 2 to 3 cleanings if you clean your carpets regularly. We use DuPont Teflon Advanced Carpet and Upholstery Protectant which is well known for it’s ability to prevent stains from becoming permanent and for keeping your carpets cleaner longer.
