No it will not, it will extend the wireline access with mobility. In some cases it will offer an alternative to wireline, in particular for new and renovated buildings. HiperLAN2 will also be used to complement the fixed infrastructure, providing mobility to all portable computing devices. Operators will be able to add HiperLAN2 to the technologies enabling packages of wireless and wireline solutions.
