There are multiple projects looking at student researchers and their technology and identity needs. We’re awaiting the results of these investigations in addition to further analysis of the Google Apps offering, before inviting Higher Degree by Research students to use the service. In the meantime students who opt-in to Google as part of their coursework studies will be allowed to remain on Google if they transition into Higher Degree by Research.
