Will head and shoulders help to fade my permenant dyed red hair?
Hi I had a diaster the other week and dyed my hair dark brown which ended up black. Was awful, I researched lots of ways and I used head and shoulders (orignal one) every day for a week and now (week later) it has faded quite a bit. I can still see the black but it is not as bad and I now don’t need to feel awkward in public! Another thing you can use is hot oil treatment-V05 do some, these are suppose to help too. I also read sunlight, water and hair spray will gradually fade your hair colour. Hope this helps, I really do know how you feel but it does ease. EDIT- You can use head and shoulders daily. Another product I have read about is Tgel shampoo, the tar in it will help fade the colour or if you are really brave then wash your hair in washing up liquid but make sure you use a very good conditioner after as it will really dry your hair out. Also clarifying shampoo can help fade colour!
Head and shoulders is actually a pretty gentle shampoo, as shampoos go. If you really want to fade it, use laundry detergent, but be prepared to condition the heck out of your hair after. Or, if you really, really hate it, there’s a product called Oops! that says it can remove the hair dye you used. I’ve never used it, and I’m a little skeptical, but it might be worth a shot.
