Will GutterFilter handle ice and snow?
Yes. GutterFilter is impervious to winter. Made of exterior plastic foam, it does not freeze. It drains and dries so quickly, it won’t turn into a block of ice, but keeps accepting more water. Snow and ice melt quickly due to the heat-absorbent colour. If it’s warm enough to drip into the GutterFilter, it’s warm enough to drain. GutterFilter also helps to avoid ice dam backups by keeping the gutters and downspouts clear and free flowing. Also, ice and snow sliding off the roof will no longer get hung up in the gutters it displaces the cavity of the eavestrough and you will not have to wait till spring for it to thaw. NOTE****YOUR GUTTERS MUST BE SLOPED PROPERLY TO THE DOWNSPOUTS!… ROOF AND SOFFIT MUST HAVE PROPER VENTILATION… ATTIC MUST BE PROPERLY INSULATED.
