Will getting drunk twice a week affect a mild case of depression?

First of all everyone is different but getting drunk even once a week can add to some ones depression. Alcohol is a depressant and the day after drinking people are often more depressed. Chronic drinkers are often depressed much of the time. When someone is depressed and a drinker it can often be difficult to tease out which came first. Some Psychiatrists don’t believe in giving alcoholics and drug addicts antidepressants until they have some sobriety under their belts. I disagree with this approach and believe that antidepressants help those who their depression is caused by alcohol and drug use.
