Will France be the first country to ban all religion?
In the French revolution, France was the first country to ban all religion. Then they found they couldn’t enforce the ban & so have tolerated it within reasonable bounds ever since. Likewise many other countries have tried to ban religion e.g. USSR, China, North Korea etc. & persecuted religious minorities. in these circumstances they have found that religion thrived more than if they ignored it.
