Foxfire! works best with data stored in DBFs. However, the Visual FoxPro (3.0/5.0) versions of Foxfire! can be used to build queries and reports using VFP “remote views”, which can in turn draw data from any OBDC datasource (SQL Server, Oracle, Access, etc.). With appropriate setup and configuration in VFP, this can be a viable option for ad hoc reporting on server-based data.
