Will formatting a hardrive remove viruses?

Formatting a hard drive does indeed get rid of all viruses/spyware but the problem is…..it gets rid of EVERYTHING else on top of that. You will need a copy of Vista to format your hard drive. But before doing that try this first. Open the start menu (little windows logo at the bottom left of desktop) and type ‘run’ into the search bar. Open the run program and type in ‘msconfig’. Open the ‘startup’ tab and click ‘disable all’. Press ok on all other things and then restart your computer. If this does not help then it would be time to format your computer. This works on about 85% of the computers I see.
