Will extremely hot or cold liquids harm my EnerGel products?
It will not damage the energy in the products. However, if using hot liquids in your Mug, you should be cautious not to fill it past the top of the middle of the handle. Filling the Mug too high with hot liquid can cause the polycarbonate plastic to expand, thus allowing the gel to leak out and decrease the life of your Mug. The Mugs are made of a polycarbonate substance—the same used in bullet-proof glass—and will melt if placed on a hot plate or similar. If you want to place something hot on the mat or coaster, place something between the hot item and the plastic-covered gel-filled mat or coaster to avoid melting.
