Will evening primrose oil induce labour?
Evening Primrose oil will not bring on contractions so to say. It dilates the cervix and ripens it. The recommended dosage is two 500 mg capsules at 34 weeks, and 3 – 4 capsules a day after 36. You can also insert one vaginally at bed time, or rub directly onto the cervix as this will have the greatest effect. once your body starts dilating, then you should walk and have sex, etc.
