If you are wearing our CoolMedID wristbands, be sure that it is the only wristband you are wearing. A CoolMedID wristband is not effective if it is one of numerous wristbands on your wrist. We recommend wearing your CoolMedID on your left wrist. While we cannot make any guarantees, the Brady Emergency Care – 7th Edition which is used for formal EMT-Basic education, states the following regarding Medical Id Devices (page 212). “When doing the physical exam, look for necklaces and bracelets or wallet cards. Never assume you know the form of every medical identification device. Check any necklace or bracelet carefully, taking care when moving the patient or any of his extremities.
