When one has dietary restrictions (either ethical, religious, or health-based), one places additional burdens on anyone who serves them food. If your professional situation causes you to place other people in this position frequently, this might be seen negatively. If one is seen as proselytising one’s vegetarianism, this might be taken negatively. In general, it is unlikely to *help* one’s professional situation, unless that profession is specifically involved in vegetarianism — I imagine the head of PETA would be expected to be a vegetarian, for example.
