Will EA Sports Active Outsell the Wii Fit?
Electronic Arts is going to be competing directly with the very popular Wii Fit interactive fitness game soon. This spring they’re releasing the EA Sports Active which is geared especially for busy women at home. For less than the price of a gym membership (at $59.99) this exercise software takes a more Western cardiovascular approach to exercise compared to the Wii Fit which is more geared to yoga and the Eastern emphasis on balance. The EA version will not require a Balance Board. The Wii Fit has already sold almost 9 million copies in only 9 months. One needs to buy a Nintendo console before purchasing either of these two exercise ‘games’.
