Will Dumb Bell Boy Ever Be Misbehaving Again?
I have no experience in the teaching profession, so (like many who will have views and answer this question) I cannot say whether he will or not. He may go either way – his provocation of the teacher resulted in a ‘reaction’ which is probably what he was aiming for, (not envisaging the eventual outcome I would imagine) so he may act in the same way with another teacher in the future. Alternatively the shock of such a violent reaction may well make him think twice about such behaviour. Although this boy is at the centre of the incident, his fellow classmates cannot be absolved from some blame as it was not just this lad who was doing the taunting it seems. As for the teacher – what he did was wrong, but a) he was obviously still ill and b) the school has to take some of the blame for allowing him to be subjected to such (previously known) behaviour from these children.
