Will driving with the emergency brake on make the check engine lite go on?

This should not make the engine light come on. Take the car to any Auto Zone, or Advanced Auto location and they will plug into the computer and tell you why the light is on (FREE) Driving with the “E” brake on will wear the rear brakes and they will probably need to be adjusted for the “E” brake and the rear brakes in general to work properly. As I type this the thought crossed my mind that if the car has 4 wheel anti lock brakes, if the rear brakes are worn from driving with the E brake on,….it may send a signal to the on board computer telling it that something is wrong and it in turn, turns the check engine light on. Either way, take it to Auto Zone and they will diagnose it for free. GOOD LUCK!
