Will Downloading Movie Torrents Suffer the Same Fate as LimeWire?
used LimeWire found out that there was a court order for LimeWire to stop distributing its software, many people panicked. Can this same scenario be applied to movie torrent downloaders? One thing that must be understood is how these programs work. LimeWire had all of its eggs in one basket. That means if you shut down the LimeWire site then all of the piggyback sites will no longer work. Which means that all programs that used the LimeWire network included LimeWire itself will cease to work. However, torrent programs work differently. For each file, there could be a number of trackers that are keeping the torrent file operational.
