Will donee organizations be required to continue the same types of uses on the lands that are currently allowed and/or carried out by PG&E?
As per the Settlement Agreement and Stipulation, the perpetual conservation easements that will be placed over the lands must honor all FERC license requirements, other legal agreements related to the delivery of water and power, and existing environmental and economic uses. The LCP provides the framework for the preservation and enhancement of a broad range of Beneficial Public Values identified in the Settlement Agreement and Stipulation, including habitat, open space, outdoor recreation, sustainable forestry, agricultural uses, and historic and cultural values. Donees will be required to meet land ownership and conservation easement requirements relative to the preservation and enhancement of these values, in addition to the other legal requirements in the Settlement Agreement and Stipulation. The specifics of land ownership and management will be determined during the disposition process and will vary by parcel.
