They will mostly just bulk your legs up, i recommend running a lot Once i was trying to slim down my stomach by doing a lot of ab workouts and things like crunches, six inches, and jackknives, but i ended up just building the ab muscles and not slimming down at all, i finally started running along with that and it helped a lot
