Will DfEE provide guidance on budget control?
It is open to the partnership to decide how to allocate its budget between its clusters and schools, and to ensure that appropriate guidance and controls are in place. However, it is clear that budgets are being utilised more effectively where the school co-ordinator has a say in how the school’s G&T budget is spent. Partnerships may wish to consider how to ensure that appropriate budgetary control is in place in all their schools.
