Will Delaying Kids a Year to Begin School Help Them Excel? Monday April 10, 2006Kindergarten roundups are either scheduled or occurring now in public and private schools across the country, and many parents are undecided about whether their child is emotionally, mentally and physically prepared to begin school in the fall. Is it good to delay younger-aged children or those who seem immature from starting school for a year or should parents take the plunge into the world of academics?
