Will death be like going to sleep and not waking up?

Nobody knows the real answer to this question. It is highly unlikely that ‘death’ is like sleeping, however. Death is final and you would have no ‘subconsciousness’ working as you do in sleep. For example, even during sleep, the brain is constantly working and processing information on a moderated level than while awake. The body is still functioning: breathing, heart beating, blood flowing – the body still has movement and is aware of its surroundings. None of these things happen when dead.
