Will Congress Unionize U.S. Police and Firefighters?
The so-called Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act, more aptly called the Police and Firelighter Monopoly Bargaining Act, would force state and local governments to turn their workers over to union officials or, in the alternative, have their labor relations hijacked by the federal government. That’s why International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) president Harold Schaitberger described it as the “single largest expansion” in union coercive power “considered by Congress in decades.” This is all part of union bosses’ ultimate goal: to spread forced unionism to every local and state public employee nationwide.
