Will Cognos eventually force us into changing the current DSS/ODS file structures or will they continue to exist as they are now into the foreseeable future?

We were able to re-create all of the datamodels in both DSS and ODS Financial. As long as DSS is available these datamodels will be available. The plans for the DSS data warehouse is that it will survive as the historical archive of legacy data when we move to the ERP. We are not planning to move legacy historical data into the new ERP-based warehouse. Therefore, the DSS (for pre-ERP data) and new OnePurdue warehouse (for post-ERP data) must co-exist for a long time because longitudinal studies will certainly span historical and recent data for at least 10 years.
