Will coalbed gas development result in a lot of new roads?
Access roads are necessary to allow drill rigs, pipelines and other equipment to be moved and maintained. The exact amount and location of new roads cannot be fully known in advance, but existing roads and trails would be used, whenever possible, to minimize new road construction. Roads and trails, when no longer used, would be deactivated and/or reclaimed.
