Will chlorine turn bleached hair green?

Bleach will not come out as it is a permanent change, and has stripped all the natural colour tones out of your hair by a process of chemical reactions caused by the mixture of either cream or powder bleach and hydrogen peroxide. The process is difficult to reverse, even by us professionals, and so basically you are stuck with it untill it grows out – unless you are brave (or stupid) enough to try and dye over it. This is dodgy as the end result can be unpredictable. If you are going on holiday, the main points to consider are to cover your hair in the sun, sun light will bleach your hair even more, drying it out and giving it a “straw” like appearance. So wear a hat or a better tip is to comb conditioner (only a bit) through and tie it up. Tuck the ends well in to protect them as they are the most vunerable to sun damage. If you are in the sea, try and keep your hair out of the water as much as possilble as salt water will also turn your bleached hair into a mass of dry, frizzy fuzz.
