It might, for a while. People will hit the roads for long vacation trips again (long postponed), but maybe it won’t last long. There are other economics problems that will keep most from spending too much on gas. Keithold, in the US, many people are separated from “home” and family by hundreds and thousands of miles. The holidays are coming up and many have not had family reunions for two or more years. Yes, there will be much more traveling if the prices come down enough. But, it is a natural and expected thing. It does not mean we will keep “guzzling gas”.
