Will Brian Kelly may stay at Cincinnati if ND doesn change coaching guidelines?
A Cincinnati reporter that has had direct contact with Brian Kelly believes that the UC head coach continues to consider his options, but may have issued certain ultimatums to Notre Dame that may result in his return to the Bearcats. Bill Koch of the Cincinnati Enquirer sent a text message yesterday to Cincinnati head coach Brian Kelly, asking if he was in negotiations with Notre Dame. Kelly responded in affirmative, but went out of his way to point out that he remains in negotiations with UC well. “I believe that he is and that he’s serious about those negotiations,” Koch wrote in his blog today, “but from talking to people close to this situation, I still believe that Notre Dame is his first choice.” Koch goes on to opine the following: “Here’s what I believe is going on.
