Will Blu-ray discs play on my regular DVD player?
They won’t play on your DVD player because when they were made,they were made initally for DVD and wasn’t ready or made for the HD resolution,but the current standard definition instead.However,DVDs can be played on a Blu-Ray Player and they will be upconverted to an HD resolution depending on the settings you would give it (if you had a Blu-Ray Disc player).The same can be said for HD DVD,but that format may look like it will be dropped by Toshiba soon,so i absolutely recommend Blu-Ray Disc.
