While every country in europe has independent internet cafes and good local GSM wireless, there really isn’t a good unified data provider across the continent. People end up buying SIM cards for their GSM phones for each country because roaming rates are so expensive. You mention satellite phones in your topics, you might end up having to use one — but just be aware that they are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive.
