I advise you to attend the public school. There will be more AP/Honor classes, therefore you’ll be able to challenge and prepare yourself more. Let’s say you attend the small Catholic school. It’s great that you’d be a big fish in a small pond. Fast forward a few years to when you get accepted into a top notch college/university. The students there would have taken several more AP/Honor classes than you. You’d no longer be as competitive. On the other hand, let’s say you go to the public school. You’ll understand how to handle the rigor of the classes better. When you go to college, you’ll be confident and more competitive. It’s sad that this scenario actually happened to my best friend. Her mom forced her to attend private school because she though public high school was bad. Her mom didn’t know that our public school is actually an excellent learning environment.
