Athens will be ready to host a world-class, modern Olympic Games. Construction is underway on every venue; we are seeing results – venues are being delivered. Every venue is now under construction, or completed, and the pace of construction is accelerating. This progress has allowed us to move from the planning and construction stage of preparations, to a focus on the organisational details of every venue. We believe that all preparations will be completed by Games-time. We will closely monitor construction of the roof at the main Olympic Stadium and construction of the Karaiskaki Football Stadium. We will test competition, venue and technological systems at a series of sports events scheduled this August. This is an opportunity to test not only our facilities, but also the team of people working at each venue.
