Will any jumper cap fit any pair of CMOS pins?
I would not recommend mishaalsy’s method unless you are very confident about what you are doing, touch all three pins and you may short circuit your motherboard and destroy it! The method does work but is just not recommended for the inexperienced. I would suggest that as all you want to do is reset the CMOS then “borrow” the jumper from the CD drive or even the HD (if they are both SATA you cant) just remember where it came from and replace before booting the PC into Windows. If both drives are SATA then you can take a jumper cap from the Audio jumper if your board has one, anywhere else and you may end up resetting something with unforeseen consequences, particularly if it switches voltages to perhaps a VGA card or similar. As a last resort a flat bladed screwdriver will have to do, make sure you only touch the two required pins and keep the blade off of the board to avoid any short circuit. If you want to buy jumpers I have not actually seen them available for retail sale anywhere,
