You are right as reinstalling the OS will wipe the spyware from your computer. Note: this could only occur if your use the OS CD software to format the system before installing a fresh copy of the Operating system. Using the OS CD software to repair the damaged or infected files woun’t work (you can use this option if you have important files in the computer to recover before proceeding to reinstallation of OS).
