Will all doctors who enter the new specialist (including general practice) training programmes eventually receive a CCT , subject to satisfactory success?

Any doctor who enters and successfully completes a whole training programme (including those with relevant supervised training entering form the SHO grade) will receive a CCT from PMETB and be eligible to enter the Specialist and General Practice Registers. Doctors who do not complete an entire specialist programme (including general practice), but who use their previous experience and training to reach the required standard will not receive a CCT, but will be eligible to apply to the PMETB for entry to the General Practice or Specialist Registers.
