Will Aldactone or Androcur totaly inhibit testosterone production?
They will reduce testosterone to very low levels, but there will be a very small amount of testosterone still being produced by the body. They are used in instances to prevent some prostate cancers from getting worse, where testosterone is the cause. They are also used by M2F transsexuals prior to surgery. Androcur was also used to chemically sterilise some men in the US who were convicted of certain sex offenses, which is why it got banned there. There are some other drugs that can perform similar tasks and which work in slightly different ways. All can have serious undesired side-effects. Caution: Do not take any of these powerful drugs without medical supervision. There are some specific medical conditions which would make these drugs affect the body in a detrimental manner. People have killed themselves by self-prescribing.
