Will Adobe Media Player play HD resolution content?
Yes. Adobe Media Player will play HD files as long as they are the correct file types and codecs. File types include FLV (using Spark or VP6 codecs) and F4V (using the H.264 codec). Other file type can also be played as long as they use the H.264 video codec and HE-AAC audio codec, including MOV, 3GP, MP4, and MP4V files.
The Adobe Media Player can play 720p and 1080p video of the above file types, as long as your computer meets certain minimum requirements:
- 720p
- Windows – Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent 3GHz or faster processor, 1GB of RAM and 256MB of VRAM
- Mac – Intel Core Duo or equivalent 1.83GHz or faster processor, 1GB of RAM and 128MB of VRAM
- 1080p
- Windows – Intel Core Duo or equivalent 1.8GHz or faster processor, 2GB of RAM and 256MB of VRAM
- Mac – Intel Core Duo or equivalent 3GHz or faster processor, 2GB of RAM and 256MB of VRAM
