Will adding more ram to my windows 7 64-bit pc increase performance?

hi mate yes it will, however you may only see the increase in performance in situations were alot of memory is needed such as start up,decoding and video editing however most enthusiasts like myself will actually agree that 4gb of ram is a realistic amount of memory and more than enough for all games and apps that are currently avalible that said adding more memory will future proof your system as there is software on its way that will take advantage of more memory, and multi-tasking will also be much easier with 6gb or more, for example browsing online while converting a video file, and with 8gb i reckon you could do those tasks along with decompressing a rar file ! as you know the 64bit os will support more than 4gb of ram, infact 64bit operating systems will support up to and including 192gb of ram, allthough it will be a long time before any motherboard can support that much, the most any motherboard can currently support is the x58 chipset ( core i7 ) motherboards which support up to 24g
