Will adding a screened in porch to our existing new home add significant value and be helpful forresale?
Hi Jesse, a screened porch is a nice improvement – I grew up in PA and our screened porch was my favorite room. Having said that, the operative word that caused me pause is “signficiant” – I would not count on any improvement to add signficantly to the value of your home. Make decisions that you will enjoy and that fit in to what a buyer might expect in your community – then enjoy it now and feel good later when it adds to the positives of your home when the time comes to sell. But adding signficantly to the value – would not count on it.
