Will Acacia products replace Address-Point or the new address layer in OS MasterMap?
No. Address-Point and the new address layer will continue to be available. There are hundreds of Ordnance Survey customers who will require continuity of supply and service. The aim will be to ensure that the Address-Point and other Acacia-related data are fully consistent, with the help of the new unique property identifiers such as Ordnance Survey’s topographic identifiers (TOIDs) and NLPG’s unique property reference numbers (UPRNs). Ordnance Survey will continue to monitor its strategy in this regard as it does today and will respond appropriately if the market signals a desire for changes due to the uptake of Acacia products.
