Will Abhijeet be a constant factor in Indian Idol 5?
April 6, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Indian Idol 5 is set to hit your TV screens soon. As always, the custodians of the show promise a bigger and better extravaganza. Well, big or better is a subjective matter. The choice of Abhijeet Sawant and Prajakta Shukre as hosts does raise few brows. Alright, the former is the first Indian Idol while the latter was among the finalists, but that’s no criterion to be an Indian Idol host. Let’s not forget that the likes of Aman Verma, Hussain Kuwajerwala and Mini Mathur have taken Indian Idol to another level with their inimitable style of hosting. None of these names will figure this season. Last year, season three contestants Meiyang Chang and Deepali Kishore were picked to host the audition round. When the countdown to the final 16 began, it was only Chang who co-hosted the show with Hussain.
