It should definitely work, that would probably be the configuration they would have assumed most users would have when developing the software for your modem. It should work on almost any computer out of the box though. It should install the software automatically if you plug it in to a USB port. A few settings can stop that happening so if you’ve plugged it in and windows finds new hardware and installs a driver for it but the device does not work it is most likely caused by your computers individual settings. You can also download the driver from Vodafone’s site for some of the modems so you can try that if you encounter problems or bring it into the store and they’ll help you out and do it for you. I’ve installed loads of these in work. One thing to note is that if you are logged in as a regular user but installed with admin privileges, it will only work in that USB port that the admin plugged it into when it installed.
