Will a trace route test help me determine why I am unable to connect to the Nortel Networks Centra Server?

To run a trace route: Start > Programs > Run. Enter “command” and at the prompt type A Tracert will display how many “hops” your connection takes to get to our server and how long it takes in milliseconds. (less than 250 ms is acceptableover 300ms could cause performance problems). A tracert test will not be able to reach our server due to security rules but it will show you how long it takes to get to our “front door” This will help troubleshoot any networking issues that may be hampering your connection.
