Will a TourTurf putting green receive a shot from the fairway?
Yes. TourTurf putting greens are built to receive shots from the fairway and from around the green. Our patented infill of silica sand and cryogenic rubber provide a surface that will receive a shot very similar to that of a natural turf putting green. For longer shots, we install a shock pad underneath the turf for added effectiveness. Back to top What is the putting green surface made of? The synthetic turf is a polypropylene fiber. The base material is a combination of ¾ inch gravel stone and 3/8 inch stone dust. The stone is shaped and rolled to provide a solid foundation for the synthetic turf to be installed on.
