Will a Rock Band Microphone work on Singstar?
Me and my neighbor both have PS3’s. I loaned him my Singstar games and the DO NOT work with the Rock Band mics. Rock Band uses a USB microphone directly into the PS3. Singstar uses two microphones that plug into one USB adapter, then into the PS3. THEY ARE NOT COMPATIBLE! But you can use your Rock Band microphone on any of the Karaoke Revolution games. Bottom right hand corner of the box (link below) states that the mic set are required. You can get the mics alone (link below) but I would recommend getting one of the Singstar store games. It’s only $15 more and you get access to the store so you can buy more songs. Also check out your local used game store for used mics. It uses the sames mics for the PS2 as it does for PS3.
