Will a movie titled “The Buccaneer” starring Yul Brynner ever be released on DVD?
There are two releases on Ebay, listed below in sources. However, although they’re cheap, one of the sellers explains that the movie has lost it’s copyright, so it is legal for anyone to burn it to DVD and sell it. Don’t know how true that is or what quality you’d be getting. Evidently the movie wasn’t released on DVD, in the USA. There is a Japanese version, on Ebay, that’s in English. Anyhow, Amazon, has it listed as out of stock, and they don’t know when, or if it’ll be back. I guess it all depends on how bad that you want it. There’s even one out of Australia, but shipping gets pretty expensive down under. I’d go for the UK Ebay. I’ve never seen the movie, but Yul Brenner, Anthony Quinn and Claire Bloom is a pretty good cast. It sounds like a good movie. Good luck.
